Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013 constituted Global Journalism Awards under the chairmanship of Sandeep Marwah with some prominent people of the media and society.
“It was decided to encourage and appreciate some of the journalist who have done extremely well in last years on this occasion of International Day of Journalism and formation of first ever Global Festival of Journalism in Asia” said Sandeep Marwah President of the Festival.

Krishnamurthy former Chief Election Commissioner of India who started his carrier as journalist many years back.

Valentines Day Part 0f Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013 |

Three days grand Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013 came to an end with the presentation of Awards followed by a high powered entertainment program designed & choreographed by the students of Asian School of Media Studies, Asian School of Communication and Asian Academy of Film And Television.
The entertainment programs indicating love and affection actually molded to present Valentines Day, the third day of the festival. A colorful musical dance drama, mimes with social themes, fashion show with ethnic Indian clothes were good enough to celebrate Valentines Day.
Mr Vipin Gaur gen- Secretary (NAI) said that today is the day of love and Basant Panchami is also . We got lucky on the 12th of February we launched the Global Festival of journalism and Journalists today, 14 February, all of us together are the colors in the color of love and happiness.
“I wish you a very happy Valentines Day and wish lots of love for the society and country” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival in the closing words.

Two Days Indo Nigerian Film Association Meet Begins At Marwah Studios |

“After India, Nigeria is emerging as the second largest producer country of films in the World. Hollywood now stands third in the list” informed Sandeep Marwah Chairperson of Indo Nigerian Film Association designated by Government of Nigeria.
A two day meet was planned and designed for the visiting delegation from Nigeria under the leadership of H.E. Governor Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso State of Kano which is the fastest growing state in Nigeria.
Long discussions were taken place between Vinay Grover of Simba Group of Companies and Marwah Studios regarding the promotion of business between two countries which is the objective of INFA.
Later Sandeep Marwah honored Rajesh Mehra of Eagle Films and Vinay Grover with the life membership of Indo Nigerian Film Association. The event was attended by all the Nigerian students enrolled in Asian Education Group consisting of AAFT, ASMS, ASC and ABS.

Sandeep Marwah Will Inaugurate Children Section of NBT |

Sandeep Marwah was invited to inaugurate the children’s Section during International Book Fair of National Book Trusts, Ministry of Education, Government of India.Last year it was 100 years of Indian Cinema celebrated by NBT at Book Fair and this time Children’s section which is to be emphasized” said Sandeep Marwah.
National Book Trust, (NBT) is an Indian publishing house, founded in 1957 as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education within the Government of India. Jawaharlal Nehru envisioned that the NBT would be a bureaucracy-free structure that would publish low-cost books.
The activities of the Trust include publishing, promotion of books and reading, promotion of Indian books abroad, assistance to authors and publishers, and promotion of children’s literature. NBT publishes reading material in several Indian languages for all age-groups, including books for children and neo-literates.

The Newspaper Association of India a body of 7000 journalist from all parts of India join hands with the first ever Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013 to be held on 12-14th February at Noida Film City the hub centre for journalistic activities in India.
“We want to be the part this historical movement now started by the international media person Sandeep Marwah” said Vipin Gaur General Secretary of NAI.
The Festival will project national and international issues related to journalism through workshops, seminars, symposiums, screenings, news – bulletin, round table discussions etc.

Lalit Bhasin is a renowned Advocate of Supreme Court and President Award Winner. He is also president of Society of Indian Law Firms, Vice-President of Bar Association of India and Chairman of the Services Export Promotion Council, established by the Ministry of Commerce. He is also a Member of the Task Force on Arbitration set up by ICC. He was speaking in the capacity as the Chairperson of the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.

Two felicitated for pledging body donation |

JAIPUR: Newspapers Association of India Jaipur Unit Honors Program for the body donors Three persons pledged to donate bodies for research work at the Sawai Man Singh (SMS) medical college on Friday.
All the medical college is facing shortage of cadavers for research work and at present there are minimum bodies but it needs more so that research work could be conducted properly.
Eighty-five-year-old Sr Journalist Ram Kishan Sharma and 86-year-old Vimal Kumar Choudhary filled body donation forms, which were collected by health minister A A Khan, at a function organized by the Newspaper Association of India (NAI), Jaipur unit, in Shastri Nagar.
Earlier, only two persons decided to take pledge to donate their body but encouraged by their decision, one more person also decided to donate his body.
"After death, the soul departs and the body becomes unimportant. But, the body can be used for research work in the medical field and could save the life of many people," Sharma said after signing the form.
On the occasion, NAI officials said the health minister should make arrangements for collection of pledge forms from homes of people who decided to donate their bodies. NAI National general Secretary Vipin Gaur said, "Body donation is a noble decision. It doesn't look good that a person has to stand in queues in hospital to fill forms for donation of his body. We demanded from the minister that a team should be constituted which will go to the houses of people who want to donate their bodies to collect the forms in a dignified way and to honour them. SMS medical college anatomy department head Dr Sangeeta Chouhan said, "People are now aware about the usefulness of donating of bodies. This year, we have received forms from 11 people who have decided to donate the bodies."

Inauguration of Newspapers Association of India, Tamilnadu and Awards Distribution
His Execellency the Governor of Tamilnadu, Dr. K Rosaiah participated in the Awards Ceremony jointly organised by the Alpha Group and NAI, New Delhi and delivered the keynote address. The Governor inaugurated the NAI, Tamilnadu Chapter and spoke on the occasion about the role the newspapers play in upholding the democratic credentials of this country. He also gave away Lifetime Achievement Awards and Promising Citizen of India Awards for various categories. The Promising Citizen of India Awars for Journalism was awarded to Shri. Vipin Gaur, National General Secretary of the NAI and Shri PCR Suresh, President of the TN State Committee was awarded the Promising Citizen of India Award in the Corporate Social Responsibility Category. Others prominent awardees were Padma Vibhusan Shri K Parasuran Senior, Padma Bhusan Shri N Vittal, Smt Jayanthi, IAS, Human Rights Commission, Film Director Vishnu Varadhan, R P Sathyanarayanan, MD Puthiya Thalamurai, Dr K A Abraham, Cardiologist and eight others in various categories. National Meet on Small and Medium Newspapers
Mr. Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said that the ministry has given proposals to the parliament for amending the Press and Registration of Books Act, 1867. There are around 80,000 newspapers and periodicals published in India out of which the majority of readership is of small and medium newspapers. The Ministry is actively involved in assisting and promoting small and medium newspapers as they speak the language of the locals he stated in the National Meet on Small and Medium Newspapers, here in the PHD Chamber.
The Registrar of Newspapers for India receives the annual statement only from 13,500 newspapers. Only 5600 regional newspapers are paneled with the Directorate of advertising and visual publicity and are facing problem of capturing the advertisement he added.
Mr. Khurshid Ahmad Ganai also said India literacy rate is increasing and demand of newspapers is increasing too in comparison to the western world.
Lt Gen K.M Seth, Former Governor of Chhattisgarh said majority of Indian population does not read the national newspapers and only 30% of Indian population reads the national newspapers. The ministry has to make arrangements for making regional newspapers as par with the regional newspapers.

The NAI South Zone meeting that was held on 26.02.2012 in Bangalore
26/2/2012- bangalore - We feel priveleged to announce that the NAI South Zone meeting that was held on 26.02.2012 in Bangalore was a grand success.
Amongst the many issues that were discussed at the meeting, the safety of journalists was at the core. There was a long discussion about the myriad problems that small and medium newspapers face.
Other issues that were discussed include DAVP, RNI, journalists from government, facilities & Efforts to strengthen the State Committee.
We organized a workshop on rural development, grassroot journalism which was attended by several members.
Our mode of action in states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka was one of the main topics of discussion.
The General Secretary of NAI, Mr. Vipin Gaur presided over the meeting with valuable inputs from members of the south zone like Mr. Buchi Babu, Mr. Sridhar Reddy, MS Deepa, Mr. Sridhar Murthy, Tamil Nadu General Secretary Mr. Charles,Kerala Adyaksh Mr. Subhaarn Kumar and others.
Members from all states attended the meeting and vowed to accelerate their efforts to improve the working of NAI in their respective states.

NAI Tribute Ceremony to our founder Late Dr. M.R. Gaur at Gandhi Peace Foundation
The tribute ceremony of Lt. Dr. M.R. Gaur began with an opening speech of Mr. Sanjay Rai and Dr. Dilip Kumar introducing the guest of honour. Sufi Sant Ji started off straight away by bringing out the thoughts, intents and objectives of the service rendered by Lt. Dr. M.R. Gaur.
History of Lt. Dr. M.R. Gaur by Mr. Vipin Gaur National General Secretary
Lt. Dr. Gaur was born on 18th March 1958, in the land of Green Dasholi, Uttrakhand. Dr. Gaur topped in 5th Standard at his school, started his career with working in a hotel for a salary of just rupees two hundred facing many hurdles and challenges for survival.
Lt Dr. Gaur completed his 10th and 12th standard from an open institute and went on to complete his Bachelors in Science in DHMS, Allahabad.
He was a very hard working person, who believed in sacrifice and hardship as ingredients for success.
In one such endeavor, he bought the medium and small newspapers together and launched the Newspaper Association of India on 24th September, 1993.
The occasion also had Prof. Sandeep Marwah speak on new trends in media. He highlighted the role of internet, fax machines and other communication tools used in current times. There was also a debate on the merits and disadvantages of these new tools. Shri Sunil Dang who moderated the debate closed it with a balanced view that was warmly accepted by one and all.
The workshop was on role of new media what is the benefits of citizen journalist or web journalism. Sr journalist Shri Avdhesh ji, Mr Vivek, Shri.Sanjeev Chauhan and Dr Smita Mishra was the speaker on Workshop
